The largest population is found in the captial city of Madrid followed by Barcelona. Spain is a highly developed country. Tax burdens to Spanish citizens and companies are lower than those found in the United States, and also have a lower federal tax burden. Spain allows for many foreign investment opportunities, but if seeking to employ a foreign citizen there may be difficulty receiving a work permit unless the company is registered in Spain or has a sponsor on the application.
